How to Diagnostic
The AIP agent includes few tools for troubleshooting issues with the client when having some issue we can use the Run Diagnostic feature from the AIP agent itself.
From any Office 2016 or Office 2019 apps, we have got a small icon called “Protect” when clicking on the Protect, we’ve got a short menu.
When choosing “Help and Feedback” another window appears with some tools.
When selecting the option “Run Diagnostic” another window will open and will run a health check with the following checks:
- Internet Connectivity
- Date and Time
- Service Discoverable
- Trust Service Certificate
- Current Template
- Client License
If for some reason one of the tests is failed it can affect user experience and even cannot encrypt, classify, and label data in Office.
